Develop an Attitude of Gratitude with Journaling!

journaling purpose self-leadership Sep 14, 2021

Right up front, I want you to know that the point of this post is to show you how to develop an attitude of gratitude with journaling!

Do you have grumpy days? Of course, we all do. 😤

However, if these have become the norm, then you may very well have a challenge with gratitude. I want to help you pivot from that into a new direction! 🗺

When things feel like they’re going wrong, it’s time to put the focus on what’s right.

Using your journal makes this very simple. Start by listing off things you’re grateful for.

Do so either at the start of the day for a fresh pick-me-up guaranteed to put you in a positive mood as you go out the door.

Or if you’d rather, write at the end of the day, ensuring your sleep is restful and trouble-free, allowing you to go to bed with an untroubled mind.

Are you having trouble finding things to be grateful for? Don’t stress about it.

Write whatever comes to mind when you think of moments during the day that made you smile and let the feelings flow from there.

Your Turn to Write: Think of a happy moment during the day and write about it, remembering to express gratitude for whomever or whatever inspired this happiness.
